McKinney Family Chiropractic

About

About Our chiropractor, Gabriel U. McKinney, was born in Charleston, West Virginia and raised in Lincoln County. Graduating from Duval High School in 1999, he attended Harding University in Searcy, AR graduating with a B.S. in Biology. After attending Palmer Chiropractic College, in Davenport, IA, he began post-graduate studies to become a Doctor of Chiropractic.

Dr. McKinney began practicing in 2007 in Dunbar, WV, gaining daily experience and gleaning knowledge from the two other doctors in that practice. Nine years later, Dr. McKinney opened his own chiropractic office in St. Albans, where his wife was born and raised. He works tirelessly to serve his patients and their families as an involved member of the community. He welcomes the opportunity to be of service.

"People often ask me why I became a chiropractor. Like many people, I did not understand much about the chiropractic profession at first, even though they treated my family. I knew chiropractors made you feel better, but I wasn’t aware of the power of it until I truly needed their services when I was in high school. My football team was going through practice drills and I hurt my lower back. The pain was not like any other pain I had ever experienced. I literally couldn’t walk without doubling over in pain.

After a few rounds of treatment and some education on my part from the doctor, I soon began to realize the power of chiropractic care. Almost 20 years later, I am now caring for patients with this powerful form of treatment. Through my education and practice of chiropractic, I am able to see the changes it can make in the lives that I have the privilege to touch with healing."
